Trashy style?

God forbid you take out the trash with a "regular" trash bag. What were you thinking not using Louis Vuitton trash bags instead?!

Should I swim then go to the meeting or go to the meeting then swim?

....it's because after I take my morning swim in the ocean, I got to head to a business meeting right after.

You know you want them :-P

World Cup 2010 Mania

So I'm super siked about World Cup 2010 in South Africa this year! Wish I could be there! Since I and perhaps many of you out there who are in the same boat as I may not be able to root for our favorite footballers in person, we can at least show others how much of a diehard fan we are to our favorite teams!

What better way to pay homeage to this year's world cup in South Africa than sporting a South Africa track jacket. This is an Adidas women's track jacket for $75, but if you become a goal club member, you can get it for $67.49.
These shoes are for men, but honestly, I would wear these and it would look just as cute on the ladies. The Adidas are $60 and represent the Brazilian team. You can find them on Piperlime and they run from sizes 8 and up. I'm sure you can find them elsewhere in smaller sizes. This Puma Italy backpack for $35 is adorable. Adidas Women's Italy jacket for $75

Brown Italia Puma bag for $50

And to save the best (and most expensive) for last. These are for all you REAL diehard fans willing to go the distance as if money were no object.

Louis Vuitton created a few soccer ball inspired bags. Here are two that I really loved:

This is a limited edition and was created for World Cup 1998. Note that this is refirbushed/ used and still costs around $2400 - $2900!

This duffle bag is from Louis Vuitton's Fall/Winter 2009 season. I can't even find the price on this one.

Queen of the Puma

I've been MIA for a while because of school and I do apologize for it. Just been pretty busy and I haven't had the time to properly sit down and create a blog post for you all, but when I saw these Alexander McQueen Puma shoes, I had to blog it. His signature steep heels match the steep price, but they are absolutely adorable and totally out of the ordinary, yet wearable.

These puppies will set you back $225, but it could become as dear to you as your little pooch or feline, so to some it may be a worthwhile investment. The more I look at them, the more I want them!

Fashion with a Purpose: Falling Whistles

I came across this website called Falling Whistles, a campaign to create peace in the Democratic Republic of Congo. It was inspired by a journal written about boys who were sent to the frontline of war with nothing but a whistle.

Be a whistleblower for peace. Let your voice be heard and wear your protest.

Go on the website at www.fallingwhistles.com and buy a whistleblower necklace. Not only are they stylish, but most importantly, proceeds go to rehabilitate and advocate for war-affected children, and by wearing them, it will give you an avenue for conversation about this issue.

Whistleblower necklaces range from $30- $100 and you also receive the whistleblower journal along with it. They also sell t-shirts that are $20 each for men and women in different colors and the original Falling Whistles journal for $5. All proceeds from purchases are used to expand the Falling Whistles campaign.

I always found it interesting to see how fashion can be bridged with humanitarian work, so I will occasionally be posting up "Fashion with a Purpose" to shed light on ways in which one can be fashion savvy while helping humanity and the world at the same time! What better way to be fashion forward?

Here are a few products they have on their site:

This leather tie-dye sandal is absolutely adorable. The price is a bit steep, but it is leather and so the quality should be quite good. You can find it on Blufly's website for $159.00.
